(Eastsound, WA) - Situated on a small water front lot in Eastsound, this condominium project presents itself as two single story cottages in an effort to reduce its scale. Parking is under screened arbors that allow plant material rather than roof structures along the pedestrian walkway to the north. In an effort to mitigate unstable soils and avoid disturbing archeological artifacts, this structure utilizes a structural slab and pin pile foundation system that allows it to "float" above the site.
