(Orcas Island, WA) - This shingle style home replaced an abandoned structure built in the early 1900s. Sited on one of the islands rare low bank waterfront parcels, the design for this home takes the 100 year flood elevation into consideration. Foundation system was also designed to mitigate low bearing capacity of the fill soils found on site.
